Description
Yet another oldie, back from my HTK days. This is one of a series of character designs that I did for a personal project, entitled 'Mer de Ciel'. This particular character is a fighter pilot's, elite, squadron navigator.Below are links to a larger version of the pic, as well as a link to a character design (from the same theme) that I previously posted. There, you'll also find a little bit more about the story behind 'Mer de Ciel' (for those interested)
Thanks, enjoy!

zarobio3 - The leather rope... I was going for more of a leather belt/strap thing, and it's a guy ... hehehehe
ARTOONATOR - I've heard that from people before actually
Tanthalas / trevorm - Thanks guys. the reason why I stayed away from any sort of background for this one (and many of my other works), is because they are meant to serve as character designs. For that sort of illustration, you usually want to focus soely on the character. On the other had, I've working on quite a bit of background drawings/paintings lately. I'll post some background speed paints soon.
lolita - Thanks for that. I stopped using my GFX a few years back, after only using it for about a month or two. But I had lately decided that I should come back again. Glad that I did. Great community here
Thanks again everyone else for your crits and comments

Anyway, the design is great! I am especially impressed by the neat details of the ornament (weapon?) hanging from his wrist. Great work!
